If you want to update the mod because you're sure it won't break anything, you can move it to the Mods folder. then steam dosnt download the mods there is even no mods menu at the launcher. If a mod updates from Steam, it'll re-download to the Workshop folder. I reinstalled game to SSD for batter loading speed. I'd recommend going to X2's root installation directory (where the executable file is ) and making a "Mods" folder inside if one doesn't exist already then moving everything from the Workshop folder to there. This may potentially make saves unstable or unusable, depending on how significant the update is. There exists the potential for mod authors to update (or remove) their mod and thus change the mods in your game. You may need to do that to get it to read the new directory.Īs an aside, I would actually be a little careful with using the default workshop directory for your mods. I believe there's also a button under File called "Refresh List" or something along those lines. Appending that number to the directory list should do it. I'm out right now so I can't check for sure, but I think it's 268500 or something similar. You need to include X2's workshop ID number in there too. content/ is not the end of the directory.
